The Bereans

The Bereans noted in the Book of Acts were believers in Berea. Luke writes about three characteristics about them:

1. They were of noble character
2. They were eager to receive Biblical teaching
3. They examined the Scriptures everyday to see if what Paul said was true

The Bereans should be models for how we as believers today should live. We should never take things at face value. We need to examine the Sciptures everyday to make sure what we are receiving from teachers and preachers are true. We should receive Biblical teaching with great eagerness. Finally, our character should be at its best.
