I love The Message. I also love the New International Version. Thus, I purchased last year two bibles. One is a parallel version of them both and then I purchased later the daily reading of the Message. Sometimes you come across a familiar verse in The Message and it just makes that verse stick to your spiritual bones.
Proverbs 3:5 and 6
Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he's the one who will keep you on track.
