Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Bitterness is a disease. Bitterness is unforgiveness. Unforgiveness has great spiritual and physical conely lesequences. The result unfortunaly leads to death in both senses.
I have seen people for years hold bitterness in their heart against another or others. It consumes their life. Their minds are always on what the other people did. Where are the other people? Enjoying their life. Sleeping good at night. They don't have a care in the world.
The one who is bitter can't sleep. Their thought life is constantly consumed with the other person's offense against them. It is sad to know a person for a very long time and see bitterness in their life. They are never happy about anything.
Everybody will be faced one day to choose to forgive. Right when an offense takes place, you have to choose what your reaction will be. Will you forgive or will you not forgive? Choose forgiveness.
