Because of various events in the past, Karen and I have had to attend various youth events. When all is said and done, we love being in services with teenagers. There is such an excitement when you get with them and the Holy Spirit begins to minister.
Friday night, Jerome and I went to the Georgia District Assembly of God Youth Convention here in Atlanta. Over 1000 teenagers filled the place worshiping and praising the Lord with Big Daddy Weave leading the music. A message was preached by Jim Railey, lead pastor from Calvary Christian Center in Ormond Beach, Florida.
We were also blessed to provide a place to sleep for The Rock Church Youth Group from Valdosta here in our home. They were every where! It was just a touch of home to heal a mild case of home sickness!
Mine and Karen's prayer is to have a youth group that is a catalyst for youth ministries. We want to see teenagers desiring the deep things of God. We believe the youth lead the way for renewal and revival at a church. You get a small group of teenagers excited about the things of God and they could turn a whole world upside down!
