Savannah, Forrest Fires, and Smoke

Exciting week! I just arrived in Savannah for a couple of days for our District Council. I am excited about tomorrow. I will be sitting in a three hour session with Ed Stetzer, one of the leading leaders and authors about church planting. I am also excited about connecting with fellow pastors and fellow church planters as well.

Tomorrow night is a big night for Assembly of God church planters. It will be an evening emphasizing church plants and planters. Awaiting a great evening.

On a sad note, we had to travel through Valdosta for Karen's job. When arriving, there was smoke all around which was coming from Pearson, Georgia. Pearson is about an hour away from Valdosta. Leaving Valdosta to come to Savannah, we traveled through Waycross which is where the fires that is consuming south Georgia and North Florida began. Miles have been burned and you have to see everything to believe it. We only saw a small, tiny part of the whole devastation.
