Is Clapping part of our DNA?

Psalms 47:1
Clap your hands, all you nations;
shout to God with cries of joy.

Psalms 98:8
Let the rivers clap their hands, Let the mountains sing together for joy

It is an exciting time in our lives as we watch Joshua at this phase of his growth. Beginning on Saturday, Joshua began clapping his hands. We have never played Patty Cake with him or placed him on our lap and clapped his hands for him. He just began clapping his hands.

As I was sitting down and observing him, I began to meditate on the Word of God. Could clapping our hands which is a form of praise be part of our biological and/or spiritual DNA? Is there just something in us that desires to see our hands come together to make a noise?

It is just something that makes you go, "Um?"
